PLASTIC SURGERY
Indications for surgical interventions:
- all growths on the skin whose diameter is greater than 7-8 mm,
- xanthelasma,
- dysplastic and congenital nevi – moles regardless of size,
- precancerous (all skin changes that are classified as precancerous – actinic keratoses, suspicious pigment changes, cornu cutaneum, and others),
- atheroma (sebaceous – epidermal cysts),
- dermatofibromas,
- epithelioma basocellulare – according to the classification, it belongs to malignant skin tumors, but considering that it metastasizes extremely rarely, it has an excellent prognosis and is treated by simple surgical excision to healthy tissue, under local anesthesia,
- biopsies.

Special caution is needed with skin tumors, because only radical surgical removal of the tumor leads to healing.

Why is timely diagnosis of skin tumors important?
The treatment consists of 2 procedures of the new Nano technology – Nano Q lifting and Nano Q tightening, which are extremely effective. And what is very important – they do not require any recovery period that is characteristic of all other lasers. Because the superficial layers of the skin remain intact after the laser treatment.
Immediately after the treatment, you can apply make-up and continue with your activities with a beautiful complexion and tight skin.
Preoperative skin examination
The review can be:
- clinical and
- dermoscopically.
Given that early recognition of malignant skin changes in the initial stages, when they are completely curable, is very important, it is often necessary to apply a dermoscopic examination, in addition to a clinical one.
A clinical examination allows early skin changes, which are precancerous or the initial stage of a malignant disease, to be observed in about 75% of cases, while the dermoscopic examination of the changes, which specialist doctors use at the Diva Polyclinic, increases the accuracy of diagnosis to 98%.

Why is the number of malignant skin tumors increasing?
There are two main reasons for the increase in the number of skin tumors:
- excessive exposure to the sun’s rays with insufficient protection (sunburn, uncritical use of the solarium) i
- an increase in the ozone hole, which intensified UV radiation.
Risk factors that potentiate the formation of tumors:
- excessive exposure to the sun and UV rays in the solarium,
- people with light blonde or reddish brown hair,
- a large number of moles on the skin,
- family predisposition,
- light complexion and the presence of freckles.
Regular skin examinations are crucial to prevent skin tumors
The only way to carry out treatment before the change on the skin becomes a tumor is to establish a timely diagnosis, which is possible if all moles and other unclear changes on the skin are regularly controlled and monitored diagnostically.
In most cases, it is enough to have an examination once a year, but it is best to consult with a specialist doctor, because more frequent control is needed for risk groups.
Procedure of surgical intervention
After infiltration with a local anesthetic (the procedure is carried out with a very thin needle, so the patient may feel a slight stinging when the anesthesia is injected), the classic surgical excision of the change with a scalpel is approached in depth and width to the healthy tissue.
The procedure is completely comfortable (thanks to the previous infiltration with a local anesthetic) and lasts a few minutes.
Then hemostasis is made and stitches are placed (several stitches with fine surgical sutures), so the scar is minimal and, according to the principles of modern plastic surgery, optimally integrated into the relief of the skin to be almost invisible.
What method, in addition to surgical intervention, is available to patients at the Diva Polyclinic to remove skin changes?
Depending on the type and size of the change on the skin, i.e. based on the examination and established diagnosis, the specialist doctor makes a decision whether to remove it by classical surgical excision or radio wave surgery, but with mandatory histopathological verification.

Price surgical interventions - removal of skin changes with included pathohistological analysis:
The price for surgical removal of moles and removal of skin tumors is 29,000 dinars. The price includes a MANDATORY PH analysis.
The price of removal of moles or fibroids by the radio wave method is from 80 to 120 euros in dinars and includes the MANDATORY sending for pathohistological analysis. If 5 or more moles or fibroids are removed, at Diva Polyclinic we grant a discount, so the price per mole is 80 euros in dinars.

NOTE:
NOTE:
Whether surgical intervention is an adequate method for removing skin changes will be assessed by a specialist doctor during a free consultation.
The results of the procedure may vary from patient to patient, and this is influenced by factors such as skin type, i.e. whether it is prone to scar tissue formation.
