What is cellulite and when does it occur?

Cellulite is degenerative changes in the subcutaneous fat tissue. They appear in the form of lumps, nodules and depressions on the skin on different parts of the body. When it is present for a long time, in a later stage, it can be seen with the naked eye and this is what we recognize under the name “orange peel“.

The appearance of cellulite is due to the improper exchange of substances in the tissue and the slow elimination of harmful substances from the intercellular spaces and can occur at any age from puberty to menopause.

Various studies indicate that even more than 85% of women over the age of 18 have cellulite.

It is not exclusively related to obesity because it can occur in people with an ideal weight, and even in those who are underweight.

Why does cellulite appear?

Fat cells, which are located in the subcutaneous fat tissue, are separated by connective septa, which make chambers. As time passes, fat cells enlarge, accumulating toxins and water, and inelastic fibers form around them. They block fat cells and make it impossible for hormones and enzymes to reach them, which normally enable proper metabolism.

Then degenerative changes in fatty tissue occur – cellulite appears.

In which places does cellulite appear most often?

Cellulite is common on:

  • thighs,
  • seat area,
  • in the area around the ankle joint,
  • on the hips,
  • stomach,
  • calves,
  • around the knee,
  • and even on the hands and
  • neck.

What types of cellulite are there?

And it can be

  • soft (which occurs at the beginning and can be successfully treated) and
  • hard (occurs in the later stages when the degenerative changes of fatty tissue have advanced. It is more difficult to treat and cannot be completely removed).

What causes cellulite?

There are different causes for the appearance of cellulite:
• Genetic factor
• Improper diet
• Insufficient fluid intake
• Insufficient physical activity
• Wearing inadequate shoes and clothes (high heels, tight clothes)
• Hormonal imbalance
• Irregular digestion
• Stress
• Smoking and alcohol

Why is anti-cellulite mesotherapy very effective for the treatment of cellulite?

Anti-cellulite mesotherapy is a modern method for effective cellulite removal. Preparations used in the treatment of cellulite are a combination of a large number of active ingredients that
  • accelerate microcirculation,
  • allow for better drainage,
  • have a diuretic effect and
  • with the effect of lipolytics, they accelerate the metabolism of fat cells in the direction of fat breakdown.

What does the anti-cellulite mesotherapy procedure look like?

Quality mesococktails containing a combination of minerals, vitamins and amino acids are injected into the deeper layers of the skin on those parts of the body where cellulite needs to be removed.

The anti-cellulite mesotherapy procedure takes about half an hour on average.

What are the results of anti-cellulite mesotherapy?

The effects of anti-cellulite mesotherapy are:

  • improvement of the blood supply of the treated tissue and
  • accelerating the elimination of toxins, which leads to
  • reduction of depots and edema in areas affected by cellulite
  • with excellent aesthetic results while at the same time
  • they also contribute to the detoxification of the body.

How many anti-cellulite mesotherapy treatments are needed to see the expected effect?

After a series of 8 to 10 treatments (performed 1 to 2 times a week), there is a significant reduction in cellulite, and the skin becomes
  • stronger,
  • tighter and
  • healthier.
This modern concept has shown significant results in numerous clinical studies. Because it acts on the cause of the problem and concentrates precisely on the local treatment of the diseased tissue.

Can mesotherapy for cellulite removal be combined with other procedures?

Anti-cellulite mesotherapy is very successfully combined with lipolysis if there is an excess of fatty tissue or if you need to reduce the volume and reshape the body.

Lipolysis can be applied in a targeted manner to local deposits of fat or cellulite

  • profession,
  • with hands,
  • hips or
  • thighs.

Therefore, in all those places from which it is difficult to remove fat deposits with diets and exercises.

The recommendation of specialist doctors is to do 3 to 5 treatments in a series, because this way 4 to 8 cm is lost in the volume of the treated region (which depends on the age and health condition of the patient). And they are done with breaks of 2 to 3 weeks.

After finishing the series, the next one can be continued, if there is a need for further removal of fat deposits or in cases of more severe forms of cellulite.

What are the contraindications for anti-cellulite mesotherapy and lipolysis treatment?

Contraindications are:

  • autoimmune diseases,
  • blood clotting disorder,
  • pregnancy,
  • breastfeeding and
  • bacterial skin infections.
